This meeting was really informative and beneficial. I learned about eustress and distress, college stressors, physical and emotional academic effects. I also learned of ways to relieve this stress by time management, exercising, and social support.

I enjoyed the mental health session. It opened my mind up to new techniques I can use to relieve stress. I plan to incorporate those techniques into my daily life to help me gain more energy and be a better person overall.

During the Mind Over Matter mental health mini session, I was chosen to answer a question about good stress. I shared my thoughts and learned more about how certain types of stress can actually motivate us in positive ways. We also talked about on-campus activities that help students manage stress and stay involved.
I mentioned that I currently practice with Strive and that I often talk with one of my old professors about my personal and academic life. Those conversations have been really helpful for me because they give me a space to express my feelings openly. Overall, this meeting helped me realize and reflect on some things I already knew about myself, but it also opened my mind to new ideas and resources that I might look into soon.
