The volunteer opportunity was through Path Interview Weekend! The first hour is for Game Night. I had a great time meeting with prospective path scholars and getting to know them through human bingo and charades! The second hour is for the financial aid panel. I was given the opportunity to be a student panelist for a presentation given to parents of the prospective students where I helped answer questions and give advice on applying for aid, student scholarships, and getting college paid for. Both these opportunities were a great way to give back to the Path program, and I had a great time!

This is for the academic event I attended this semester! I went to the Honors College Pulse Panel: Bad Bunny, the Super Bowl & the Internet. This was a really interesting event getting to hear from various professors from digital media and music to Latin American and Latino studies. The exploration into the performance’s impact and what it reveals about media, identity, and popular culture today was fascinating. This was a really unique pulse panel and I had a great time attending!
This volunteer opportunity was through the MATHCOUNTS competition hosted by the university. I had the opportunity to volunteer as a grader where I helped grade the various tests the middle schoolers took. This event was a great opportunity to be more involved with the university and neighboring schools and I had an amazing time!
This volunteer opportunity was with Potter's House. As service chair this semester at Theta Tau, I set up this volunteer opportunity with Potter's House where myself and other members were able to go their warehouse and help sort through donations. I previously did this event last semester as a Project Leader for MADD, so it was great to come back and help out once again. Great event!
This volunteer opportunity was through Arkansas Children's Hospital! My roommates and I were able to help with Children's annual toy drive. We were tasked with sorting toys, arts and crafts, and books in boxes to be loaded and donated. This was a great opportunity to give back to the community and I can't wait to do it again next year!
This volunteer opportunity was through the College of Engineering! Myself and other students in the EECS department were able to visit with Vandergriff Elementary to help students with their annual Hour of Code! This involved walking around and helping students learn block coding when they were stuck or didn't understand what to do. This was a great event and I can't wait to do it next year!
This volunteer opportunity was through my roommate Juan! Through the mentorship program he helped start at Springdale High School, myself, mentors from the program, and the mentees got to go to Potter's House Thrift Store to help organize all clothing items on the racks as well as reorganize dish items and bottles to their respective sections. This was a great event being able to connect with the mentors and mentees!
This is for the academic honors event I attended this semester. I went to the Study Abroad Basics workshop hosted by Dr. Chelsea Hodge. I plan to go abroad this summer, so this was a great opportunity to learn more about the advising application process as well as the different programs and funding that I can apply for. Great event and very informative!
This volunteer opportunity was hosted by the amazing service chairs of Theta Tau where we got to go on a road cleanup on our adopted road! We were able to go out to Rupple Rd where we picked up trash along both sides of the street. This was a great opportunity to give back to this community!
This great volunteer opportunity was through Habitat for Humanity! Myself and several other members got the opportunity to go to a build site where we learned more about what Habitat for Humanity does, helped clean and organize inside the houses being built, and moved wood scraps and trash around the area. Overall, great experience!
