Bike Maintenance Workshop #1 with REI at Govalle Park

Very thorough workshop about bike maintenance, especially how to clean your bike. The instructor was very knowledgable and also offered product references.

The REI sponsored bike maintenance workshop was very informative & stressed the importance of a properly functioning bike(i.e. brake adjustments, greasing of chain & derailed) for safety on the rode. Also, gained info on the other bike repair stations & the use of common tools for my bike. I truly loved this bike focused session since I am a local urban biker. Great addition to this event!!

I would like PARD/REI to include a session about the rules of engagement on the road for bikers & cars & provide info(i.e., website, map) of the location of new bike lanes that have been added throughout the city. This may help with encouraging city folks to use an alternative mode of transportation.
