About
Volunteering with us is a hands-on, meaningful way to support rescue animals while being part of a respectful, community-centered environment. All ages and skill levels are welcome, though volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please register before arriving, and ensure waivers are signed in advance or upon arrival.
There are many ways to contribute based on your interests and abilities, including animal care and grooming, cleaning, painting, yard maintenance, building projects, and more. This is an active, outdoor experience that often involves physical work such as lifting (20–50 lbs), bending, walking on uneven ground, and working in varying weather conditions. Volunteers should be comfortable around animals of different sizes and prepared to get a little dirty while staying aware of their surroundings for safety.
To stay comfortable, come prepared for the season. In winter, wear warm barn clothes, gloves, and bring a headlamp or flashlight. In summer, wear barn clothes, work gloves, and muck boots, and bring bug spray and sunscreen.
We ask all volunteers to show up in alignment with our shared values. This means taking care of yourself and others by making safe, aware choices; treating animals, people, and the environment with respect and care; and following all safety guidelines, posted signs, and staff direction. Volunteers should arrive clear-headed and present (no drugs, alcohol, or smoking on-site), communicate honestly about their needs and comfort levels, and be open to guidance and feedback.
We strive to create a calm, supportive environment, so we ask volunteers to approach challenges with patience and flexibility, ask for help when needed, and work through concerns respectfully. Being mindful that your actions impact others, taking responsibility for your choices, and contributing to a collaborative, respectful space are all essential parts of the experience.
We operate on a private residence and are only open to the public during volunteer hours and fundraising events.
Please respect the residence privacy and refrain from entering the property outside of scheduled events.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help you prepare for a great volunteer experience.

Perks
Volunteering here is a meaningful way to directly support rescue animals while spending time outdoors and staying active. You’ll gain hands-on experience with animal care, farm tasks, and basic maintenance, while building practical skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Beyond the work, it’s a chance to connect—with animals, nature, and a community of people who care. Many volunteers find it grounding and rewarding, with benefits for both physical and mental well-being through movement, fresh air, and purposeful, hands-on contribution.
