Description

Volunteering with us is a hands-on way to support rescue animals in a respectful, community-centered environment. All ages and skill levels are welcome; volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please message us before arriving, and ensure waivers are signed in advance or upon arrival.

Volunteers help with a variety of tasks including animal care and grooming, cleaning, painting, yard work, and building projects. This is physical, outdoor work—expect to lift 20–50 lbs, bend, walk on uneven ground, perform repetitive tasks, and work in varying weather conditions. You should be comfortable around animals of all sizes, able to respond calmly to unexpected situations, and willing to get dirty while staying aware of your surroundings.

Dress for the season: in winter, wear warm barn clothes, gloves, and bring a headlamp or flashlight; in summer, wear barn clothes, work gloves, and muck boots, and bring bug spray and sunscreen.
