Mr.Cruz walked us through givepulse, showing us how to get to events, how to log them and what we may be doing wrong, along with what to do when it comes to registering for events to make sure we get the verification for it like making sure our emails are correct, using personal ones and checking for any spelling errors.
During this meeting Ms. Sharber, Ms.Johnson and Mr.Cruz reminded us of what’s expected of us with the promise scholarship when it comes to grades, credits and engagement hours. They also reminded us of when our FAFSA should be due, along with knowing our degree pathways, our status with the program etc. It was good! Helped me make sure I am on track.
This form was good! It helps check where I was and if I was secure with the major I chose or if I wanted to change it. The form also asked about employment and offered help in areas needed with both school and work.
In this workshop, Mrs. Warren gave an excellent PowerPoint on what soft skills we should master to ensure workplace success. She mentioned things like being respectful to others, yourself and property, engaging in conversation and things you should do, and shouldn't do in a workplace.
This was a good workshop! Ms.Wilkins gave us information on things we should avoid when it comes to our resumes like complex graphics or having a generic resume for all job applications. She also talked about chronological resumes, functional resumes and how our cover letter should flow. It was very helpful.
In this event the speaker talked about different AI software that is incorporated with their work like itrustai. They informed the audience the dangers of AI and what to look out for like deepfakes, while also explaining the importance of using it properly. They also answered the audiences questions with AI.
During this zoom the panelists talked about SGA spots that will be open for election, members talked about the responsibilities they have along with slides filled with information for the audience to read. They also informed us of events coming up and guest speakers shared information about financial programs and services
This Write It Right cover letter workshop was informational! I learned how to write a strong cover letter, what's too much vs what's not enough, including what to focus on and a good format.
This is for the Learning Squad Study Hall, during this zoom I was able to learn different learning tools I can use, what they cater to and also where to find them on campus. It really informed me and allowed me to have note of it when needed.
