The session was helpful because it explained the basics of the GivePulse platform and why it is important for scholarship students to track their participation and stay involved in campus activities. FEC Hands-On Banking® Experience w/ Wells Fargo (mini session - Financial Wellness)

I attended the FEC Hands-On Banking Experience, and it was very helpful for me. This session was about how to manage money and make good financial decisions in real life. I learned that handling money is not only about spending, but also about planning, saving, and making smart choices. During the session, we talked about different life expenses such as housing, transportation, communication, and clothing. I saw how each choice we make affects our total expenses. For example, choosing to live in a suburban, downtown, or rural area changes how much we pay for rent, transportation, and utilities. This helped me understand that where you live is very important for your budget. I also learned about transportation costs, like owning a car versus using public transportation. Cars can be very expensive because of insurance, gas, and maintenance. Public transportation can be cheaper, so it is important to choose based on your income and needs. Another important part was learning about communication expenses like phone plans and internet. I realized that even small monthly bills can add up, so we need to choose plans carefully.

    Special Scholarships Program

Finally, I learned about the RN to MSN program, which allows registered nurses to continue their education and specialize in areas such as community health, leadership, and informatics. I learned that this program can take about 3 years full-time or longer part-time. This showed me the long-term opportunities in nursing and how I can grow in my career after becoming an RN. The session helped me explore different options in healthcare, from entry-level programs to advanced degrees

    Special Scholarships Program

During this session, I learned about two different healthcare programs: Phlebotomy Technician, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This experience was very informative because it helped me understand different pathways in the healthcare field.

First, I learned about the Phlebotomy Technician program, which is about 6–7 months long. I understood that this program focuses on drawing blood and working directly with patients. It also includes both classroom and clinical training. I found this program interesting because it is a short program and can help students gain experience quickly in the healthcare field.

Second, I learned about the CNA program. I understood that this program requires certain steps before starting clinicals, such as background checks, CPR certification, and health requirements. CNA focuses on basic patient care, and it is a good starting point for students who want to become nurses. This program helped me see the importance of building a strong foundation in patient care.
