I did a Bingo activity at Deedco Gardens with my StudentsCare group it was a really special experience. We spent a few hours with the elderly residents, helping them play bingo and just keeping them company. During that time, we called out numbers, passed out cards, and assisted anyone who needed help seeing or understanding the game.
Volunteering at the South Dade Art as Healing Care Kit Drive was such a meaningful experience for me. Being part of something that directly supports people in need reminded me why I value community service so much. Even something as simple as volunteering a few hours of my time could help someone feel seen and supported. That perspective really stayed with me. It made me realize how small acts of kindness can have a powerful impact.
Organized and participated in a painting party for elderly community members, where we decorated fans and masks together. Helped plan the activity, set up materials, and create a fun and welcoming environment. Focused on bringing creativity, joy, and meaningful social interaction to the seniors while promoting community engagement and service.
