I attended this mini session was able to get a good review regarding Givepulse and got to log our hours. I also learned that you can’t round your hours to make it seem like you have more than what you actually attended.

This meeting was a good review of the scholarship requirements and what to expect for next year with the school. It was helpful as there were little interactive pop up questions throughout the meeting to review what we knew and to confirm it.
I attended the "PGCC - Workshop: I Have My Degree ... Now What?" meeting and was able to learn a lot. It was helpful as I am a bit nervous on what my next steps after graduation would be, and this was able to give me useful advice and ideas on what to do.
I attended the "How to Get a Job and Keep It ... Soft Skills" Meeting and was able to learn the skills in relation to jobs. I learned what is acceptable at job places and interviews, especially with speaking and being mindful of what you mention about yourself. I learned how it is not acceptable to speak in abbreviations or talk casually with someone interviewing you.
I attended the "Continuing Education (Non-Credit) in Allied Health and Nursing Licensure" Meeting and learned about the many types of Allied Health programs offered at PGCC. It was especially helpful since I want to know what options are available to me with my current train of degree. There were some interesting careers such as Phlebotomy and Medical Assistance.
I attended the townhall meeting today and was able to listen to a number of people running for office. It was very insightful and I liked being able to listen to all of their campaigns, which touched on a number of topics of what they would do if they got the role. The meeting also tracked back to previous meeting topics and addressed things such as if the Largo campus has gotten wifi in the parking lot yet.
I attended the Virtual Career & Internship Fair that was held today and it was a wonderful experience. I had many opportunities to interact and listen to the hiring companies, especially ones in healthcare where my main interest lies. I was able to learn more about the specific hiring processes that each company holds and what they look for in a candidate.
This meeting served to be very informative and helped me learn more about the school community as a whole. I was also able to find out what initiatives are being taken to protect our peers and college, and what is being done to improve the college itself in terms of construction.
I attended the “ Virtual Interviewing Success Tip” session and was able to gain valuable insight. I learned about what is best for interviews and what employers look at when hiring. I learned about the importance of first impressions and that the clothes you wear influences the previous.
I got a great refresher on how to use Givepulse and its unique features. The meeting was overall easy to understand and very informative.
