I volunteered to judge at the Ole Miss High School Speech and Debate tournament!
I facilitated tours for incoming international students on campus! It was so nice to meet everyone as they arrived on campus
I participated in the North Mississippi Japanese Supplementary School's "Sports Day Event" held at the Turner Center on campus. Volunteers were tasked with setting up the event, leadings groups throughout its duration, and assisting with the clean-up following its conclusion.
I served as an Honor's College Welcome Week volunteer, where I helped check students in, set up events, and served as an overall assistant for any tasks that helped the event run smoothly.
I volunteered as a Global Ambassador at the "Arrival Day for International Students" event, where I welcomed international students and assisted them in locating and getting situated at their accommodations.
I participated as a Project Leader in the Ole Miss Big Event. I was in charge of managing participant engagement at a project site where we were tasked with garden management. Particularly, we were asked to turn over old soil and add new soil to the plot.
Twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:45 to 5:15, I volunteered with the Intensive English Program to converse with international students on campus looking to improve their speaking English speaking abilities. This was done in a classroom setting and typically involved upwards of ten students at a time.
I arranged and participated in the Residential College South & Luckyday Residential College's Hall Council BBQ. Preparations included setting up the event table, arranging games and activities, and tending to the station throughout the duration of the event.
I volunteered with the Croft Institute for International Studies to table and advocate for their program during a campus visitation day. We hosted conversations with prospective students and provided program information when requested.
