My experience with Mercedes-Benz today was quite an experience. Ranging all the way from an unorganized workshop to having to work through a language barrier. Throughout my experience working in Atlanta United game at a small vegan pop-up restaurant, I ran into various people that I did not expect. Ranging all the way from customers asking me for the ingredients within the food to simply wanting a water. And since this is my first time volunteering with Mercedes-Benz I realize that although things may be a few obstacles, it depends on how you gather yourself and work through minimal instruction. Such as working the cash register, knowing what to do, and what not to do throughout the shift. Let’s not neglect the fact that I had to learn a few phrases in Spanish to help work alongside my coworker just so they would be able to understand me and we could work harmoniously. Working with someone who does not speak English, I had to adjust my environment and learn her language so that there won’t be any confusion with serving customers. My role at the stand was to ring up customers. I feel as though with time, I became more comfortable, and was able to communicate better with the individuals that would come to our stand. Overall it was a great learning experience!

I really enjoyed the opportunity to work with this organization and help organize and assist people with items of the choosing.
