Volunteering in Mrs. Menendez’s classroom helped me understand what it’s like to support younger students during their school day. I helped with reading and math by explaining directions and going over problems with students. This experience showed me how teachers guide students and create a positive learning environment.

It was really amazing to be able to go to my old elementary school and help out the people who helped me learn when I was a kid. I loved being able to read to the young students and organize books and such for Mrs. Gonzalez.
