On Saturday, October 25th, I had the pleasure of volunteering at Discovery @ Clay Harmony in Mableton, GA, with an amazing group called Girls Lending Outreach & Work (G.L.O.W.). I got to help out at the Physical Education and Wellness station, and let me tell you, it was a blast! The kids were so sweet and full of energy, and it was so much fun to watch them laugh and run around while playing games like tag, red light-green light, duck, duck, goose, and basketball. The team I worked with was also fantastic! Everyone was friendly and easy to get along with, which made the day even more enjoyable. Overall, it was such a rewarding experience that reminded me of how simple activities can bring so much joy and promote wellness. I left feeling grateful to be part of a team that helped create such a fun and engaging space for the kids!

This morning, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Atlanta Community Food Bank with Spelman’s NCNW. It was a meaningful experience to give back alongside my peers and contribute to addressing food insecurity in the community. Sorting and organizing donations reminded me of the importance of teamwork and service, and it felt rewarding to know that the time we dedicated will directly support families in need. I left feeling both grateful and motivated to continue engaging in service that uplifts others.
I was a SpelBound 2025 sister. The whole experience was amazing, from meeting my Spelbabies to ending the night with them in Sisters Chapel. It was incredible, and I would definitely do it again next year.
