Roots & Wings Celebration at Zilker Botanical Garden

Very well organized event, the spaces for new volunteers were accessible and help was always provided by staff members and ZBG coordinators . Overall a fun and enjoyable experience with a diverse community.

    Dino Days 2024

The event was well organized, all materials were provided with information and instructions to guide our guests with the activity. Staff was present however at times coordinators/ leads were unavailable to open gates or to check-in with volunteers, my recommendation here is to offer a communication tool “walkie-talkie” at each activity table to better support inquiries & guest questions. Overall, very enjoyable day and fun community engagement!

    Rose Garden Workday

The work was evenly distributed and water breaks were encouraged during our hard and energetic labor. There was time to meet new people and community engagement was at the forefront of this project.
