It was very rewarding to volunteer as part of this activity and see families get the support they need. It was also a good team bonding activity from the group of teen volunteers from St Thomas More Catholic Church.
I really enjoyed organizing a retreat for middle schoolers and being a role model for them. I met with the group of upper class high schoolers to plan and prepare the activities. Then led a group of middle schoolers during the retreat.
I really enjoyed showing people around my high school at the open house, and engaging with some of the parents.
I am so grateful that I got the opportunity to be a faith sharer and lead a group of teen with confirmation getting to help with retreats and talks.
I helped pass out candy to kids during my schools trunk or treat event. I enjoyed this event , because I liked seeing all the kids in their costumes happy.
I helped with the middle school retreat. In preparation for it, we met once a week and helped make skits, posters, and activities for the middle schoolers to do, and then led a small group during the actual retreat for a weekend. I enjoyed getting to know my group and helping them grow in their faith.
I loved the environment and the atmosphere the staff created. Packing food into boxes for almost 3 hours was tough work, but gave a very rewarding feeling afterward.
I enjoyed getting to know staff, cleaning offices, and unloading furniture and other various items from people’s cars.
