On Wednesday, April 22nd 2026, I donated two packs of Band-Aids, a pack of hair ties, wet wipes, and disinfectant wipes for the summer camp supplies donation drive for the Yvonne Richardson Community Center. In total, 5 items. Donating one item will get you two volunteer hours, and donating 3 will give you 10. I will receive 10 volunteer hours for this opportunity to donate. I have a soft spot for this organization, and I love its mission. I always try my best to donate whenever they have a donation drive!

For my academic Honors event, I attended the Lunch and Learn with Ambassador Fernandez Puyana on 4/21/2026. It was very interesting to learn more about the UN, as I did not know much about it to begin with. He talked about how he became an ambassador for the UN and gave us advice at the end, which was to continue to persist when you are trying to achieve something. I think it was also very interesting that he also spoke on the failures of the UN and not just highlighting the positive side of it.
On 4/21/2026, I donated my gently used goods to the Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas. The items I donated included clothing items such as shirts and pants, shoes, accessories, and a household item. I still use resources such as the Salvation Army, and did so while growing up. I wanted to be able to give back to a place that gave to my family and me in our time of need, and today I was able to. I donated 30+ items (I believe it was 32?), and for every 10 items donated, you receive 2 volunteer hours. In total, I received 6.
On 12/1/2025, I attended the grad school applications and cookies drop-in session. I got help refining my resume and tailoring my statement of purpose for another application.
On 11/17/2025, I attended the Claw Clip Decorating for the NWA Women's Shelter event that was hosted by the Service Engagement. I was able to decorate and bedazzle claw clips for the women to use. I personally use claw clips daily, and I believe things such as this can have a huge impact on others' lives.
On November 25, 2025 I donated some home goods for the peace at home warming drive. I donated laundry pods, dryer sheets, and dawn dish soap as these a very vital things people should have access to when beginning their journey of a new home.
On 11/25/2025, I turned in my 12 Survivor Celebration Cards that I made and decorated. I love celebrating others' achievements, and I felt as if this was the perfect opportunity to do so. People in vulnerable times deserve all the recognition, and I am happy that I was able to be a part of this and provide a little bit of that for them and celebrate their different milestones.
