We were giving plates back to the homeless for a couple hours on Saturday and also on Sunday.

Over the past two months, volunteering at Goodwill has been a truly rewarding experience. From the first day, I felt welcomed by the staff and other volunteers, and I quickly learned how much impact even small contributions can make in supporting the organization’s mission.
During my time there, I helped with sorting donations, organizing items on the sales floor, and assisting customers. Each task taught me something new about teamwork, responsibility, and the importance of giving back to the community. I especially enjoyed interacting with customers and seeing how affordable, high-quality items can make a real difference in people’s lives.
What stood out most to me was the sense of purpose that comes from knowing the proceeds support job training and community programs. It made me feel like my time and effort were part of something much bigger.
Overall, volunteering at Goodwill has been a meaningful and fulfilling experience. I’ve gained new skills, met wonderful people, and developed a deeper appreciation for the work that goes into helping others. I’d highly recommend volunteering there to anyone looking for a way to make a positive impact in their community.

Volunteering at Goodwill has been such a rewarding experience, and I’ve truly enjoyed being part of a team that supports the community. It feels great to know that the time I spend sorting donations, organizing the store, and assisting customers directly contributes to helping individuals find employment and build better lives. There’s a sense of fulfillment in knowing that the work I do helps create opportunities for those in need while promoting sustainability through the reuse of goods. It’s been a humbling experience to witness the positive impact Goodwill has, and it’s truly made me feel connected to something bigger than myself.

I focused on tasks like sorting and tagging donated items, organizing the sales floor, and making sure everything is clean and well-stocked. I help customers with their purchases, and also assist with unloading and processing donations.
