I had an amazing time volunteering at Beardsley Farms. We crushed up dried herbs!

my friends and I volunteered again at beardsley farm. When we got there they gave us a tour and told us why they do what they do. I loved their message. They then split us into multiple groups, assigning each group with a different task. My group got to work in the greenhouse. We got to sort through things and clean it up a little. It was nice being in the greenhouse because it was warmer than outside. After we got done with that we were assigned to help another group with planting some veggies. It got pretty dirty because me and my friend opted out of wearing gloves. It was nice getting to talk with the other volunteers and the people that work at the farm often. They taught us a little bit more about sustainable farms and why it's so important.
This has been my fourth time volunteering at Beardsley farm and I'm happy to say I will definitely go back even after this class is over. I can tell they have a close knit family there and they all care about the same thing.

My experience at Beardsley farm was amazing. We started with a tour around the farm. Then we got split up and my group was tasked with planting lettuce. I learned a lot from the people who worked there and on the importance of growing food. I loved learning about their mission and why they do what they do!

During my second experience at Beardsley farms we harvested kale and organized the green house!
