I attended the NCLEX prep session led by Mrs. Parsley in the nursing building. We reviewed how to approach questions and how to break them down. She shared tips and tricks to help us with upcoming exams and the NCLEX.
I volunteer at Arkansas Children's Northwest Hospital rounding on patients in the emergency department. I help the nurses walk patients to their rooms, stock supplies, and ask patients if I can get them anything.
I attended the Research Grant Info Session led by Dr. Hodge. I was getting ready to apply and she provided information of what needed to be included in the application. She showed examples and gave resources.
I volunteer at the Saint Vincent De Paul church as a catechist for children completing their First Communion. We have class every Sunday where other catechist and I take turns teaching the lesson, meeting with a group of children to go over their prayers, and facilitate the classroom.
I attended the NCLEX Prep session hosted by Ms. BJ Garrett in the nursing building. We practiced NCLEX style questions and case studies in a group setting. She gave tips and tricks to help breakdown questions, handed out resources, and recommendations. It was a good learning opportunity as Ms. Garrett cleared up some areas of confusion.

I attended the back to school bash the nursing school hosted. During this event, we had the opportunity to partake in a raffle for a stethoscope, SNA points, and a t-shirt. We got to enjoy ice cream while talking to other nursing students and take pictures with the sign.
Met with my mentee, Julia, and we talked about workday/registration and finals. I gave her information and resources about how to start the process of conducting her own research.
