Last semester I got to sign a petition for the Students with Refugees. This semester I got to learn some information about ways I can help refugees coming into Arkansas. In addition, I learned about organizations that help refugees coming in move around Arkansas, and do what they need to do. Very informational and all the people working the booths were very nice.

I got the chance to give blood for the very first time! It was kinda scary since I am not a big fan of needled. However, I type O blood and I know they really need this type of blood. Therefore, I wanted to offer my blood. The experience was strange since they had to stab me twice (once on each arm) because they couldn't find my vein. Then, while my blood was being drawn out I got dizzy and almost passed out. After that, some of the blood from the blood bag spilled on to my pants. It was weirdly warm. Anyways, it was a very memorable experience. I'll try to give blood next time they come by the University.

I got to do this last year! I was really excited to do it again this year. It cool getting to talk to some possible path program scholars. It makes me feel like a secretary.
