While volunteering at Blazer Kitchen, I helped sort and arrange donations. I got a better understanding of what all Blazer Kitchen has to offer the community. I was able to help ensure that Blazer Kitchen guests receive the best products available by discarding rotten or damaged products, which I liked. I kept in mind that if I would not eat it, then neither would those that shop at Blazer Kitchen. I also had the opportunity to meet some of the patients waiting to shop, which I liked the most. The most challenging aspect was lifting heavy donations and ensuring donations looked presentable for shoppers. The key takeaway from this experience was the importance of providing various and healthy options for shoppers.
