Bike Walk is truly a gift from God. Colby and Holly are cool, genuine people who really care about the community. We came in just to be shown what the process is, and the way they walked us through everything was great — patient, clear, and real.
I already work on bikes, but after seeing how they run things, I can honestly see myself coming back to help out more. What they’re doing isn’t just about free services. It’s about learning, teaching, and giving people skills that actually matter. Nothing there feels like a waste of time.
It’s a positive space for kids, parents, and adults — a place built on love, intention, and community. Bike Walk is the kind of place every city needs. A blessing for the community and for anyone who walks through those doors.
Cody and Holly were amazing! I felt like I didnt have much to contribute, skill wise, but the atmosphere was super supportive, and I was able to walk away with new skills I could bring back and apply to future volunteer opportunities.
We were excited to partner with Bike Walk Wichita and learn more about the incredible work they are doing to strengthen our community. Today's service activation was very informative, and it was inspiring to see firsthand how they are making a difference throughout Wichita.
One of the most impactful things we learned is that many of the bikes they refurbish and distribute are given to kids, individuals who serve and volunteer, and families in need, providing reliable transportation and greater access to work, and everyday opportunities.
If you're interested in helping make Wichita more walkable, bike-friendly, and connected, we'd love to help you get involved with Bike Walk Wichita. They are an amazing nonprofit doing amazing things for our community, and there are many ways to support their mission through volunteering and service.
Awesome learning opportunity - not only about the Bike Walk organization and their volunteer opportunities, but great lesson on fixing bikes (tires, brakes) that I'll put to good use. Excited to keep in touch with this group, spread the word and contribute further!
