JSU Crop Drop

This Saturday, August 16th, 2025, I volunteered with JSU Community Engagement Center for the 2025 Crop Drop! It was a wonderful experience, packing bags with sweet pastries and helping others pass them out to our community. Not only did I learn the importance of showing up for the people in Jackson, but it gave me an insight into how hard it is to get up early for manual work. Most of all, seeing the smiles and people dancing with the dj made the morning so amazing!

The event was very nice and we were able to finish up quick. The only thing I recommend is having a little more space between the boxes and more clear direction so less people would be confused about how to help.

It was a great event with good music and community help. I helped to bag and transport sweet potatoes. I had a very good time helping out with friends and peers.

I bagged sweet potatoes for the community.

I liked the last one in March I hope they do it like that again but this one was just as fun.
