Although I came kind of late to the play, I still got to see many things about the country that I live in when it comes to systematic racism and slavery. I feel like I learned a lot about the county that I live in, Prince George's County. About the troubling and tragic things people went through, we are now looking at how far we've come.
I found this performance to be very engaging and thought-provoking. Hearing about the various stories of the enslaved families that dwelled right here in Prince George's County made me realize how prominent slavery was in the county I've resided in since birth which completely shocked me.
I thought it was a very interesting and nice play about some people who lived in Maryland and here in PG County. I didn't expect it to be an interview-like play or for it to have only four actors, but it didn't take away from the message they were giving. I will probably start attending more performances at PGCC because play in the future.
Really like the play and the emotions and the moved that the actors have
This was a very impactful and informative play about slavery. It was really deep because I learned that it was based off real people in the audience. I love that they used so many props and vivid imagery to bc tell their story. It was very interesting to hear about how bad slavery was in Maryland.
This play was about many people's lives, especially when slavery was taking place. This opened my eyes and gave much information because before this I never understood why when I would tell peoplethat I was from Montgomery County they always thought I was rich or something, which never made sense to me, but when I went to this play I learned that Montgomery county was made for the rich, white, and free while PG was made for colored, poor, or slaved.
