I learned more about the transfer process from PGCC, some of the schools included, and what different universities have to offer.
The different colleges gave me a good perspective about the transfer application and the process. I received good paper infographics and helpful information.

This event was very informative I was able to learn about different school and what the could offer for me. Unfortunately the school I wanted to speak to, Bowie state University and University of Maryland, college park was not in-person but online, which I could not attend. I learned a little more about Howard University and found out that it provides a transfer scholarship from $4,000 to $16,000 depending on how much your family need and how much the can contribute. I also spoke with the GW university and found out the I can join a Kappa program that could award me $75,000 to pay school. And when talking to these schools I also learned that I need to pass calculus for a math credit to transfer along with 30 credits to be a junior.
During this event colleges came to PGCC and students were able to ask questions to the respected partners speaking about their schools. There were in state and out of state schools and I was able to get a good amount of information regarding majors and specific programs. I was also able to generalize the type of community that might be at a school by observing what the specific schools had to say.
I got to speak and talk with many different university representatives. I learned about my options and even got contacts of who I spoke with today. I enjoyed the fair overall as it’s the first one i’ve ever attended and i had a good experience.
Great person I met at the table, dressed for the occasion as well with that suit on. He was presentable and welcomed everyone that was interested and even spoke out to me to grab my attention.
It was very informative talking to the different schools. I had the opportunity to talk to GWU, Howard, and VSU. The guy from Howard gave me a lot of valuable information regarding their transfer process.
