Autumn Gala: Guest Check In

Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is hosting our annual Autumn Gala which is a fundraiser that includes a seated dinner, entertainment, the presentation of the Evergreen Award, and an evening inspired by Japanese garden design and culture.

As a volunteer, you will welcome Gala guests and complete a smooth, accurate check-in using the Greater Giving system on a laptop.

Date: Friday, October 23, 2026
Volunteer check-in: 4:45 PM
Shift: 5:00–7:30 PM

What you’ll do:
• Locate guests in Greater Giving
• Confirm registration details and follow staff instructions for check-in
• Provide event or seating information as assigned
• Refer payment, registration, or guest-list questions to staff

This role is a good fit for
Warm, composed volunteers with strong computer skills, accuracy, and discretion when handling guest information.

What to expect
Requires standing and walking through the auction area for much of the shift.

Dress code: Cocktail attire or a nice black shirt and black pants (no holes or graphics).

Training:

Required: Attend one Greater Giving training session before the event. There are 3 training sessions to choose from:

Session #1: Monday, October 19, 10:00–11:00 AM

Session #2: Thursday, October 22, 1:30–2:30 PM

Session #3: Thursday, October 22, 6-7pm

The training sessions are held at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks (4703 N. Crossover Road, Fayetteville)

Please arrive at the volunteer check-in time listed above so you can receive your assignment before the shift begins. Event-day instructions and the staff contact will be shared before the Gala.
