About
On April 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., we invite you to join us at the Lynette Woodard Recreation Center in District 1 for an exciting community event! We're thrilled to partner with Wichita Collegiate School to bring lasting impact.
Instead of a cleanup stretch, we’ll be assembling three types of care packages. We’ll prepare summer educational backpacks filled with fun items and literacy resources for second and third graders at Title I schools. We’ll also put together backpacks with essential supplies for a family shelter, and we’ll assemble about 40 blessing bags to support HumanKind. Finally, we’ll still take care of our neighborhood with a cleanup right outside the Lynette Woodard Center and the nearby school. In partnership with Wichita Collegiate School, we’ll come together to make a difference. Let’s come together, build meaningful connections, and create a ripple of positive change, right here in District 1 and beyond. Onward!
