SACA's MOPAC/Williamson Creek West Greenbelt Clean

Please join us Sunday morning on December 14th where Williamson Creek crosses under MOPAC.

We will meet up on the West Side of MOPAC on the Violet Crown Trail at 10am. Parking in the parking area behind the Hobby Lobby is recommended. (Bonus, there is a Starbucks in the same strip mall area.) Once we meet up, there will be a safety talk and then we will make our way to the creek. 

Trash accumulates in this area under the bridge before being swept downstream during rain events. We are working on this section to reduce the amount of trash that makes it's way further down Williamson Creek.  It is likely we will be wrangling some shopping carts as well.

A word of warning, this area is typically muddy with steep stream banks (think Star Wars trash compactor). Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and long pants. We will also clean in the riparian areas for those who are uncomfortable along the steep banks.
