Please join us at Great Hills Park for a busy morning of whisking away winter damage and welcoming Spring.Our park is beautiful in the early Spring with the first trees in our canyon just starting to bud and leaf out. We will be doing general maintenance on our beautiful trails which wind through our canyon. Trash pickup will be a big job this time . Numerous pieces of furniture were dragged into the canyon for parties and need to be removed. One group will use weed wrenches to remove invasive plants. It sure feels good to pull out those suckers. A few of you will learn about cleaning out chimney swift towers which we do in March before the birds return. At the playscape we will be spreading mulch and tiding up things. If you bring children this is the best place to work. The morning always passes quickly with nice people,good snacks, and doing work that counts.

Requirement Details
All volunteers should wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Dress in layers as you will get hot when you work. If you want to work along the trail be aware there is poison ivy and it is best to be covered with clothing. We have work gloves but you may be happier with you own if you have them.
