You don’t have to wait for someone to organize a cleanup, or even find people to clean with. Picking up trash is as easy as grabbing a bucket or garbage bag, some gloves and talking a walk in your neighborhood, heading to a park, jumping in a river for a paddle, taking putting your toes in the sand on the beach.
We give a maximum of 2-hours per cleanup and an additional hour for the optional essay. Read the instructions HERE carefully to get your certificate.
You must email info@volunteercleanup.org with the CleanSwell app data, photos of you with your trash bags, the date, location and number of bags filled. If you are submitting multiple solo cleanups, we would need an itemized list of all the cleanups you did with the required information for each. The photos must be different for each cleanup you did. You will need to find new locations each time, as you cannot clean the same place one day to the next.
