Undergraduate Research Grants

Grant Details:

• Long Term Grants support substantial, in-depth projects that normally span two semesters and may include summer research ($3500 maximum request).
• Short Term Grants provide for smaller independent student projects, including preliminary or exploratory research and follow-up expenses associated with larger projects ($1000 maximum request).

Steps to Apply for a Grant:

1. Check the OUR calendar for submission deadlines for Grant Applications.
2. Complete the workshop and quiz at least 2 weeks prior to the submission deadline.
3. Contact your Undergraduate Research Representative for your college 14 days prior to the deadline.
4. Complete the Online Submission of your Grant Proposal with all signatures on the day posted on the OUR website.
5. You will receive a funding decision via email within 2 weeks of the submission deadline.
