June -Lunch Service

Join us Monday through Friday, from 9:30am to 1pm, to help serve our guests healthy hot meals. We serve as many as 300 meals per day in our dining room. Volunteers will be interacting with guests, staff, and other volunteers in our large dining room that allows for safe distancing.

Volunteer will be:

• Plating and serving on the buffet line, 
• Assisting guests in the dining room, and 
• Helping in the dishwashing room. 
• Other assignments may include sandwich making, vegetable chopping, lunch assembly, cleaning projects, administrative and front desk help.

⭐Please: We ask that you arrive promptly at 9:30am for a quick tour and a summary orientation.  We start serving lunch promptly at 10am.

⭐Important: We do have lockers to secure your belongings; however, you are required to bring your own lock(s)

🧥Dress Code: Please wear closed toe shoes. We will give you an apron when you arrive and a pair of gloves when you arrive. Hair nets will be provided, but you can also wear/bring a hat.

Please DO NOT wear:

• Halter/tank tops,
• Pants/skirts that go above your knee,
• Crop tops,
• High heels, or
• Clothing with inappropriate words or images

🚗Parking: Metered parking is available on 23rd street and Maryland Avenue. It costs 50 cents to park for 1 hour, up to 4 hours max. There is also some free parking along Maryland Avenue and on 24th street.

Orientations are scheduled seasonally. Our next orientation has yet to be scheduled.
