Weekday Food Pantry - Miami Area Command

Volunteers are needed to assist our Healthy Families Pantry with stocking, bagging and distributing groceries at our Allapattah location.

Monday

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Volunteers needed to help unload, pack and sort groceries.

Tuesday - Friday
8:30 AM - 12:00 PM, Volunteers will support in distributing food to clients.

Tuesday-Thursday
1:00 PM - 4:00 Volunteers will be packing grocery bags.

-Bring a bottle of water and jacket is suggested.

-Press intercom to let them know you're here to volunteer and park in the gated parking lot

-Once you park, walk to the front of the building, and enter through the glass door.  Take the elevator to the second floor and to sign in for your shift.  Be sure to sign out at the end of your shift.

At the Salvation Army, our doors are open every day, and night of the year. Through our emergency housing facilities, homeless shelters, transitional living centers, group homes, and family shelters, we provide over 10 million nights of lodging annually. In addition to supplying shelter from the elements, beds, food, and basic hygiene resources to those in need, we help combat long-term homelessness in America by serving homeless adults, veterans, and children with holistic physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
