Store Volunteer

Habitat for Humanity of Washington County, AR is supported by the Habitat ReStore, a home improvement discount center. The ReStore is open to the public offering new and gently used building materials, furniture, appliances, and more at greatly reduced prices. The ReStore has a small staff and relies on volunteers to help keep everything running smoothly.

Habitat for Humanity of Washington County AR (HFHWC) seeks to put beliefs into action by working in partnership with our community to provide safe, affordable homes for qualified low-income families. Habitat has shown that building homes does more than put a roof over someone's head. In clean, decent, stable housing families will thrive. In addition to building homes, HFHWC builds a spirit of community and cooperation among the volunteers, supporters, and beneficiaries of the organization.

Our ReStore is looking for volunteers who want to learn new skills while giving back to the community. Often you will be working side-by-side with our future homeowners!

Volunteers will be helping our staff:

·         Process Donations

·         Customer Service

·         Helping Manage Inventory

·         Organize Displays

·         Light Cleaning

·         Refurbish and Repair Donating

·         Organize Warehouse

·         Light Clerical Work

·         Dock Assistant

Please park further away from the ReStore entrance to ensure our customers have parking closer to the store.

Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes and comfortable, modest clothing. Face masks are recommended to be worn at all times. Temperature checks are done prior to volunteering as well.
