It was a great experience again to see what 7 hills is doing for the homeless community. I got to be of assistance to Kim while volunteering and help out with the efficiency of operations while I was there.
It was a great experience to help out Potters house warehouse by setting up and pricing donated Christmas trees. I also helped out with organizing the outside of the warehouse by moving donated items and throwing away items that weren't worth selling. I learned a lot about how Potters house operates and am interested in serving there more.
During these two hours we were able to help serve breakfast of muffins and cereal to the day shelter. Then we cleaned up and helped organize the pantry.
During this 4 hour period at 7Hills I got to serve out lunch, help organize the pantry, fold laundry, and clean various rooms in the office. It is so incredible how loving all the 7Hills staff is to the homeless and how this place improves their situations.
