The Sandwich Run is always a quick and easy way to have impact on the community you serve and I am grateful for that! Thank you Lifting Our Voices!

I always enjoy the time I have to spend with the high school students and interact with them at Raising Expectations. They show an immense amount of independence, yet when there is a space where they need help, they ask us. I love talking to them, laughing with them, and helping them with questions, as well as having a space where if I needed to do anything for my classes, I was allowed to. The staff are always incredibly sweet and remember the volunteers that walk in the establishment. Thank you Raising Expectations!
I went to Agape for community service and thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. Everytime I come, the kids embrace towards me makes me want to continue to do it and come frequently. Thank you Agape for this!
Community service at the Atlanta Community Food Bank was a different experience compared to the other food volunteering I’ve done. It was obvious that there’s a community within the company and it was nice to be welcomed and appreciated for doing well. I wish that we were able to switch off stations instead of staying with ours the whole 3 hours but overall, I appreciated the opportunity and the work we did!
This was my first time attending Raising Expectations, and I enjoyed my time there. I felt extremely welcomed when I walked in and felt it was a space I was meant to be in. I was able to speak to Ms. Ki and Ms. Tam, who were very welcoming and excited to see another volunteer present to help the students. When it came to the learning aspect, I appreciated the structure within the classroom and gave the students the free time to relax and give their brains a break. I am immensely grateful to have been there yesterday and cannot wait to be a consistent volunteer there!
I was able to be a volunteer at Agape, and although it was not what I expected, I enjoyed my experience there. I enjoyed speaking to the lady at the front who made me feel comfortable the entire time I was there until I left. The kids were very sweet to me and listened to what I was saying whenever they needed to do homework. The only thing that I would critique is the structure of the program. I signed up for the high school session and ended up moving to the 3rd grade class. I still enjoyed my experience and will definitely continue to attend!
