Today I participated in the AI and Aging mini-present, where I talked a little about VR as an AI-related technology. We also discussed its impact on the senior community and how it can help them in their healthcare and day tasks.
Crisis text line training teaches you how to offer support to those going through their toughest times, giving them hope and comfort. As a trained virtual volunteer, I help people overcome challenges by offering empathy, guidance, and understanding when they need it most.
I took the initiative to complete the Be There Certificate, where I learned how to support someone struggling with their mental health based on the five golden rules. It provides the knowledge and skills to be confident in supporting someone with mental health problems.
Today I participated in a webinar with Mantra Health and MDC where they had us do different exercises and answer questions about the characteristics of anxiety and stress.
I had the opportunity to participate in the SEPA conference in Atlanta to present my research on Telemedicine in a discussion panel with other incredible professors.
I participate in the QPR training in which we learn emergency response to someone in crisis and what we can do in those cases where someone is in danger.
We had our first meeting as a GSA to discuss future projects and opportunities. We also managed to talk a little about women's contributions and some of the research they do.
