Helping out at the Campus ReStore is a great way to reduce waste in the community, ensuring used, discarded items be repurposed for those who need them, rather than destroyed. This is done through both recycling of unneeded items, and the resale of others.
ReStore is a great place to help give back to the community, and ensure used goods be recycled to reduce waste. This time I cleaned merchandise so it could be put on the sales floor for people to buy. Ideally, this helps out both the immediate customers and the greater community, through the reasonable prices and the fact that the proceeds go to help in creating affordable housing.
This was a great way to help out people on campus. A lot of people run out of meal swipes towards the end of the semester, or have far too many, so ensuring that they are redistributed according to people's needs is an absolute necessity to help the student body thrive on campus.
ReStore is a great place to help out the community. I mostly helped clean things as they came into the store, getting them ready to be put on the shelves. They have a great business model and mission, taking in donations, reselling things at a price that's great for customers, and using the proceeds to give to Habitat for Humanity. Expanding affordable housing in the BG area, or anywhere, is a great cause worth giving to. This is a wonderful way of putting in hard work to lend to that cause directly.
