About
Reap Goodness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on food security, soil restoration, and building community-led food forests. Our mission is to restore Earth while helping local communities create sustainable, perennial food systems through regenerative soil work, long-term plantings, and cooperative action.
Our Sierra Vista site is the heart of our work in Cochise County. Located at 340 E. Busby Drive, this public food forest is a fully community-built effort: volunteers, neighbors, and local organizations have come together to transform severely compacted, nutrient-poor soil into a living space of trees, bushes, and other resilient, diverse plants. This work also carries forward the legacy of our late founder, Carol Manetta, whose vision for community-led food forests continues to guide everything we build in Sierra Vista.
For Cochise County, this project represents more than environmental restoration. It strengthens neighborhood pride, resilience, and belonging. It is living proof that even in challenging soils, something hopeful and nourishing can grow when a community builds it together.
